Show you guys how to thread your bobbin from a sewing machine. the tutorial today is Brother xl2600i, but most of them are very similar, so if you got the idea right, you can figure out from another brand too.

Here’s how I set up my tiny sewing studio inside 700 square feet apartment in Texas, all cost around $100 dollars, let see what it is:
1. Ikea table | $35 with leg
2. Thread organizer | from Walmart ($10+) but you also can get it on Amazon.
3. Iron machine $8 from Walmart ($10+) but you also can get it on Amazon.
4. Sewing tool boxes $25 dollars, WalMart but you also can get it similar on Amazon.
5. File box $2.99 – 3.99 don’t remember from ikea.
6. Mason jar half dozen from the grocery store around $9.
7. Flower vase (FFRE from the chocolate container.)
8. Flower $0.97 per one from Walmart.
9. Iron stand with my mother in law, so it’s free, but you also can get used from garage sale or on Amazon:http://amzn.to/2coKI5P
So here’s my total cost: $128, not include my sewing machine, but if you can find second-hand stuff, you can even lower your budget!

Hi, everyone! I would like to show you how to make your own tote bag in the couple week, this workshop is free, feel free to invite your friends to join with you also. It’s going to fun and you can just finish this project in 2 hours! Join us here before the seat is full.
These are the sewing tools you must need when you start any handmade sewing project, check it out and get them all set!
How can you miss this, right? Otherwise, hand sew might take the month to finished the project.
To check on the length and seam allowance also, in Taiwan usually come with cm but here I saw inch more them others.
It's better to prepare 3~4 needles, sometimes it brake when you sew some think fabric, then you have back up.
White and black one must have, and get couple different color you use more often in the sewing tool box, if you are beginner, it's good to have like whole set of different color of thread, then you will figure out which color you use most, then just get those more next time.
Are you cut the piece already? Good! Let's get started!
Make cutting fabric so much easier and faster, make sure don't use this scissor to cut others beside fabric.
I don't like the threads leave out so much, some people like to fix it after all the work, but I like to keep it clean all the time.
If you are making clothes, this will help you a lot to see how the dress/shirt fit on, so you don't need to put it on yourself each time.
But if you making a small accessories or bag them it's not a necessary to have it
Make the project look even better, you don't want it to look so wrinkly right?
10. Iron Pad
It's okay to iron on some table if you don't have a budget for it, but Iron pad makes the iron job so much easier, and some ankle actually help little detail of your sewing job.
To help you keep two pieces pattern together, and can stay in the right position make so much easier to finish the work.
I ususally have about dozen, because I have too many differents colors of thread, and I like have second one ready, something you lost them too, they just saw small and hard to find when you have bunch of mess around.
Sew somthing wrong, this tool help you much easier take down the sewing part and re start again!

The internet is like a new to me, I learn so much browse online each single day. A lot of people have a designer dream (so do I, that's why I major in Fashion design) but what if you have a full-time job, 4 kids at home or some other things keep you busy, but inside of you just want to learn to sew and hard to resist that calling. Then thanks for the Internet, they make so many things to possible.
You will ask that's not the same like actual class, one by one teaching, of course, is not. There's no teacher will answer your question, and tell you-you doing a good job or some part is wrong.

Honestly, you can even learn how to fix your pump on YouTube, so sewing is not a weird thing to see there. But just need to find good quality video and teaching skill. And it's free so I shouldn't complain.

A great resource I find out recently, start from beginning and lot of good video and content you need to check out!
First of all if you love casual and elegant looking style of dress or shirt, you might fall in love with a lot of Japanese style dress sewing pattern, just like me! And today I want share with y'all some of the Japanese sewing book you must have, and you will love them, love love love, because it's really good so I said it three times. I'm really excited to share with you all here.
A magazine from Japan, 4 issue per year, I love them so much when I in Taiwan, it's really easy to get and reasonable price, and they are getting really popular couple years ago have Chinese version! (Oh yeah!) Now even China have their own version too.
Magazine include most of their design, usually contain 2 big page of pattern, and you need to find the way to find the design you want, in the magazine have direction. Usually will have dress, T-shirt, Shirt, Pants , bags, small , skirt, and accessories design, really basic and classic design most of time, and they use cotton or linen material a lot.
It's not easy to get corrent issue in US, if you have friends or family are oversea, ,maybe can ask them order for you and send it to you, shipping won't be cheap, but quite worthy. Or you can order some older issue from Amazon here, they ususlly ship from Japan might take a while to be here.
Compare Chinese version and Japanese version, I love orginal one more, even I can't understand their language, just the way it is, so if you understand Japanese, you have bless!

I find this book at half price book store, just fall in love with it, a little bit more mature than the second book, but still have some classic design like skirt, dress, shirt, vest, pants and coat design, if you prefer a little bit more neutral drsign, might be a great choose for you.
Including 1:1 size in the back and simple tutorial in the back of the book, great for starter or people love Japanese style design.

4. Clothes made of cotton and linen

I bought this one in Taiwan with Chinese verstion, and feel so regret didn't bring this book with me. If you are the one just start fall in love with cotton/ linen materail this is great book to understand them and with nature, elegant, classic design, you really will love it. too bad they don't have English version now, but it's worthy to try even is Japanese.

So far most of Japanese dress design are kind of baggy, loose, I think is great because can hide my belly, but in the other way show more soft and elegant side of the woman. I love this cover with bright red shirt, you can see couple picture from Amazon they provide, looks like really easy to start with.
Including 23 pattern inside with in $14+ dollars which is really really resonable price, I think you all will enjoy this.
